Turkey Crash

So the other day we were driving, about 30 miles outside of Kanab, Utah. Out of nowhere, a turkey flew out of the bushes and smashed right into the windshield of our Honda CRV. That's right.. A turkey. Anyway, we were stuck there for about an hour and a half. While we were waiting, six different cars stopped to see if we needed help. This included a guy who owned a Honda repair shop/tow service, a lady from fish and wildlife, and a forest ranger who all just happened to be driving by. We were really fine, but I was so impressed that that many people stopped to help. Props to those guys!

Good Deeds Friday collects donations for charities

Gracie Jade Hewett, 4, plays with bubbles during the West Metro Chamber of Commerce's "Good Deed Friday: Spring Cleaning for Charity."

Dewey and Carole Free knew there was better use for their unused housewares than collecting dust in their garage.

The Lexington couple had long planned a garage sale, but on Friday they found a more charitable way to dispose of their personal treasurers.
